This service is for the discussion and documentation of provenance evidences found in printed books. Don't link to images that show things other than provenance evidences. This is not the place to ask for copies or the content of certain books (consult your local library on these issues or use the HPB's "Ask a Librarian" feature), nor to advertise antiquarian prints or other services.
Please try to avoid in your discussion anything that might offend others. Help to keep an atmosphere of open-minded communication.
Needless to say, but do not link to material that is either protected by copyright or illegal for other reasons.
Currently, this service does not provide storage space for your images (we're planning to add it in the future, though). Make sure you have access to web accessible storage space for images, either on your own/your institution's webserver or via services like Flickr or Photobucket etc.
For security reasons, your first query (or queries if you post more than one at once) will be moderated, i.e. it will be shown publicly only after a moderator has checked it. All your further queries will go public immediately without checking.
CERL as well as other parties might use the queries (incl. images) and discussion published in this service within other services via defined APIs. Your content will not be copied into other databases, though.
Although it is our aim to have this service available 24h a day / 7 days a week, we cannot guarantee it. CERL further reserves the right to terminate this service entirely at its own discretion. In case of termination of servie we shall try to inform you by email well in advance.
